In response to your story: 'Family charity Home-Start Sutton faces closure'.
This is totally shocking and just goes to those families who plod on trying to do their best and do what's right, just aren't important enough to get the help and support they deserve.
No more funding for Sutton's Home start. The funding is being used for those already known to Social Services. What about the families who aren't?
Home Start support parents who have depression, through illness, and challenging times; it's this voluntary group who keeps such families going and away from social services.
Totally twisted: all families are important and all families need help and care from time to time irrespective of background.
How very very sad Sutton Council doesn't want to put money into those families that are trying to carry on as normal despite trauma in their lives.
Well social services are going to need that funding, without Home Start they are going to have many more families on their doorstep.
