A group of Wimbledon firefighters will set off on a 250 mile bike ride next month to raise money for a one year old baby girl with cerebral palsy.
Neave Evans was born with four limb cerebral palsy, or quadriplegia, paralysing her limbs and torso requiring round the clock specialist care.
Firefighter Adam Clarke, a family friend of Neave’s, organised the charity bike ride to raise money for her continuing care. On October 10 ten firefighters from Wimbledon’s red watch will cycle for three days from Wimbledon Station to the Legacy Rainbow House in Ecclestone, Lancashire.
Money raised will go toward Neave’s fund at the Legacy Rainbow House which provides care and support for children with brain damage and physical disabilities between the ages of three months to 16 years.
The firefighters have already raised nearly £4,000 but have set themselves a target of £5,000. You can donate by texting REDL75 followed by the amount of your donation to 70070, or by visiting their Just Giving page.
