In the dead of the night 170 yellow wigged people were spotted walking around North Cheam.

It was all part of St Raphael’s Hospice Midnight Memories walk which took place on Saturday, September 21.

The annual five-mile event was opened by British paralympic gold medallist David Weir, deputy mayor councillor Sue Stears and coun Colin Stears.

Louisa Hitchen, St Raphael’s events fundraiser said: “The atmosphere on the night was great fun.

"I’d like to thank all the walkers for coming along and making the night a great success and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year”.

The walk is expected to raise £25,000.
