The man killed by a lorry next to Carshalton Ponds has been named as 54-year-old Paul Ludgate from Purley.
Flowers have been left in Pound Street where the 54-year-old Paul Ludgate, from Purley, stepped out to cross the road on Monday, September 16.

A message has been left at the scene which reads: “We have never met but our paths crossed you will always be in my thoughts. It was an honour meeting you. Rest with the angels, God bless you.”
Mr Ludgate was hit by a slow-moving goods lorry after he stepped out from a blind spot, where there is no path, at the side of the road.
It is understood he was dragged for about four metres before the driver realised what had happened and stopped.
The general manager of the nearby Greyhound Hotel, Meirion Perring, 54, came across the incident just after it happened, at 9.30am on Monday, and ran over to try and help.
A neighbour at his home in Brighton Road said: “I didn’t know him but I saw him about. It is very sad.”
The death has prompted calls for road safety measures along the Transport for London owned road.
