A Carshalton Beeches greengrocer is encouraging people to eat healthily with their ‘Fruity Fridays’ initiative.
Independent fruit and veg shop Carshalton Patch, on Gordon Road, is giving away a free piece of fruit with every purchase on a Friday.
On Friday, September 27, staff were giving away free apples to commuters outside the station to raise awareness of their new scheme.
This week they have also launched their Produce for the Patch scheme encouraging gardeners to bring in surplus produce in return for store credit or a donation to a local charity.
