A student will be jetting off to Nicole Scherzinger's Antigua pad after impressing X Factor judges at boot camp.

Hannah Barrett, a student at St Francis Xavier College (SFX), in Malwood Road, Balham, wowed the panel on the latest episode of the ITV series.

The 17-year-old performed an emotional rendition of 'I'd Rather Go Blind' by Etta James and was given a standing ovation by the crowd.

When pressed by Nicole why she should be in the top six Hannah explained "This is my life."
Following the standing ovation Gary Barlow said "That's how to fight your place."

The teenager almost missed out on a place in the judges houses round as Nicole's top six places were already filled.

But the former Pussy Cat Doll swapped Hannah for previously put through contestant Sheena McHugh.

Hannah, an A Level student studying drama and performance studies, recently won Best Vocalist award at the SFX Oscars at the college.

It will be revealed this weekend whether Hannah has bagged a place in the live finals on ITV1.
