Local government minister Brandon Lewis has awarded Surrey County Council £750,000 of funding.
The funding will help drive forward joint work being by the county council with emergency services and to build of existing initiatives with East Sussex County Council.
David Hodge, leader of Surrey County Council, said the funding will help to continue to find “new and innovative ways to provide excellent services”.
The bid for the funding was submitted in July to the Government’s transformation challenge award.
