A fortnight after the brutal murder of teenage rapper Kyle McDonald police are no closer to tracking down his killers.

Mr McDonald, 19, of Fulham, was shot in the back as he walked with a friend through Battersea's Kambala Estate, off Falcon Road, in the early evening of September 18.

Police launched a fresh appeal last week in an attempt to drum up new leads, however the wall of silence surrounding the incident remains in place.

So much so that even a basic description of the killer has yet to emerge.

Since then Mr McDonald's family has spoken out and called for the public to help police make an arrest.

His sister Kyasha McDonald, 25, believes that "one piece of information" could be enough to help detectives.

The young rapper was initially shot in Fawcett Close but managed to stagger to Coppock Close where he was found minutes later by members of the public.

Police are also looking into the possibility that Mr McDonald was affiliated to a gang.

Mr McDonald, who went by the name Veli Goodfellaz, was a member of the Goodfellaz rap crew and had posted a number of music videos on YouTube.

Anyone who has information should contact detectives on 020 8358 0200 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
