If you think being 40 years old is over the hill then think again and get involved with a new sport programme.

The Crystal Palace Foundation have set up the Eagles Fitter Fans programme which is aimed at any men aged 40 or over.

The course will be taking place at the Thornton Heath Leisure Centre with the first session taking place last Wednesday. The programme goes on until December 4.

Men will get the chance to train like the first team to lose weight, learn physical techniques for getting fit, learn about diet and nutrition and have the chance to put their questions to some ex-Palace legends.

Former Eagle and Foundation Ambassador John Salako says: "It’s great to be able to support this exciting new initiative between CPFC, The Foundation, Croydon Health and Change4life.

"We need our supporters to be conscious of the need to be fit and healthy to ensure they enjoy many more years watching the Eagles. I look forward to working with you all".
