Two up-and-coming musicians are to perform a range of musical works on violin and piano.
Violinist Diana Galvydyte and pianist Christopher Guild will take centre-stage in a concert organised by the Banstead Arts Festival Society.
A spokesman for the society says: "They are two brilliant young musicians who are rapidly becoming known to audiences for performances of unique emotional dynamism and technical assurance.
"They present a fascinating programme of sonatas and contrasting shorter works, ranging from Haydn at his sunniest and Ravel in blues-mood, to other-worldly Pärt and virtuosic Szymanowski."
Scot Guild, who studied at the Royal College of Music and recently completed a year’s junior fellowship in performance at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, is well known in local music circles after accompanying the Carshalton Choral Society.
Lithuanian-born Galvydyte is a prize-winner of 16 international competitions for young artists and has studied at the Royal College of Music and the Yehudi Menuhin School in Surrey.
