Members of an anti-trafficking group formed a chain gang as part of a 10km walk to raise awareness of human trafficking.
Dressed in black and tied together with red plastic chains, eight members of Croydon Community Against Trafficking (CCAT) walked from Purley to Croydon on September 28.
Along the way the group gave leaflets about human trafficking to the public who, event organiser Anna Arthur said, were more aware of the issue this year.
Ms Arthur said the day was really encouraging and added that coverage of human trafficking in the UK had helped bring human trafficking into the public eye and highlight the dangers of the matter.
In May last year nine men were convicted for trafficking and sex crimes in Rochdale and Heywood.
CCAT was formed after a report in 2004 named Croydon as a sex trafficking hotspot, but now covers a wider range of human trafficking issues.
