Armed police were called to Norbury Park last week after police received reports of two youths with a gun.
A member of the public called police last Friday at around 12pm and armed officers raced to the scene.
Two 15-year-old boys were arrested but the gun they were carrying was a ball bearing firer.
Police said the youths were later formally cautioned for the possession of an offensive weapon and possession of an imitation firearm.
