Fairfield Halls comes head-to-heawith a national institution as the Blue Peter cameras arrive to shoot a programme.

Zoe Salmon - the programme's 30th presenter - has been set the task of skating alongside the world famous Wild Rose Russian Ice Stars in their spectacular production of Peter Pan on Ice.

An entire episode of the BBC's flagship programme will be dedicated to a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to be part of one of Britain's best-loved ice dancing theatres.

The show won't officially open until April next year, but you can get a sneak preview of what the Olympic and national champion skaters have in store.

Zoe, 26, who has mastered countless experiences including barefoot skiing and sky diving, said "This is a real dream come true for me - as a little girl, I was mesmerised for hours by the glitz and glamour of skaters during the Olympics and always wanted to be one."

The show goes out on BBC1 tonight (Wednesday, December 13) at 5pm.
