Crystal Palace keeper Gabor Kiraly has joined Aston Villa on an emergency loan deal as cover for the injured Stuart Taylor.

The 30-year-old Hungarian was expected to make his comeback to the Palace first team on Saturday against Derby County after Iain Turner sustained a groin injury in the defeat to Colchester last weekend.

But Eagles boss Peter Taylor has decided to allow Kiraly to make the move to Villa Park and put his faith in youngster Scott Flinders for the clash against Derby County at Pride Park this Saturday.

Former Arsenal keeper Taylor sustained a knee injury against Sheffield United last Monday and joined first team keeper Thomas Sorensen on the sidelines, which left Villa boss Martin O'Neill without an experienced keeper.

Kiraly, who has only just returned to Selhurst Park following a similar loan spell at West Ham, is expected to make his debut against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
