A father has been cleared of raping his chess prodigy daughter.
Ian Gilbert, 48, denied five counts of raping his daughter Jesse at a trial at Guilford Crown Court.
The 19-year-old former Croydon High School pupil fell to her death from a hotel window in the Czech Republic while competing in a chess competition earlier this year.
The jury in the trial at Guilford Crown Court was sent home on Tuesday afternoon and returned a not guilty verdict today.
