Ellie Butler has been described as a lovely little girl who wanted to be an artist when she grew up.
Alex Clark the headteacher of Ellie's school, Avenue Primary School, has expressed his shock at her death and said the giggly youngster would be greatly missed.
Headteacher Alex Clark: "Ellie was always giggling away about something."
The emergency services were called to six-year-old Ellie's home, on the Shanklin Estate, on Monday afternoon, to reports of her collapsing. She was taken to a south London hospital where she was pronounced dead at 4pm.
Mr Clark said: “The whole school community has been shocked by Ellie’s death, and our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time. Ellie had many friends at school and this is a very sad time for us all.
“Ellie came to school every morning with a big smile on her face and was always giggling away about something. She was polite and well mannered and was a considerate member of the class, always kind and helpful towards her peers.

“She had a lovely nature and was really patient and caring. Ellie loved art and always took a real pride in illustrating her work and she said she wanted to be an artist when she grew up. Ellie was a lovely little girl and she will be greatly missed by all the staff and her friends at Avenue.”
Ellie's father, former removal man Ben Butler, 33, is still being questioned at a south London police station in relation to her death.
