A Hinchley Wood businessman is a finalist in Britain’s Top Real Role Model - a nationwide search to find the UK’s most inspiring young entrepreneur.

Joshua Tonnar, 23, created Sports Bloom while studying for his degree and training full-time at Molesey Boat Club for the Great Britain rowing team.

Joshua set up his company Sports Bloom earlier this year. After graduating from University he discovered he had half of the day free after rowing training, and decided to put it into something productive.

The company runs team building and motivational days hosted by elite athletes, Olympians and real athlete coaches.

If he were to win the accolade and the £5,000 prize money, Joshua would buy equipment such as indoor rowing machines.

He hopes expand the company to holding in-house team building sessions with companies in their offices.

He said “I have always seen myself as an athlete and I have never wanted to be anything else. I want to teach other people and share my story and other athlete’s stories.”

The winner will be chosen by a panel including Francis Boulle from Made in Chelsea. The results will be released during National Entrepreneurship week which begins on the week commencing November 18.
