AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley could not hide his pride in his players despite a 3-1 defeat that saw them go out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle.
The Dons more than matched Coventry City of League One for an hour, and took the lead through Michael Smith's second half header.
However, Seb Brown - standing in for Ross Worner after the regular keeper was stuck in traffic - dropped a clanger gifting the Sky Blues an equaliser.
The visitors were 2-1 ahead just moments later, and a Callum Kennedy own goal sealed the Dons fate.
Ardley said: "I am so proud of the lads, they did everything we asked of them and I think we deserved to win.
"Their keeper has pulled off two or three fantastic saves, which says it all."
