An MP is appealing to the Post Office to make sure it considers the needs of Wallington people in its plans.
Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake has written to Post Office chief executive Paula Vennells to set out the views of local people on the Post Office's plans to move the Wallington branch from Ross Parade to WHSmith in Woodcote Road.
Mr Brake asked constituents for their views on the Post Office's proposals and said while some people are happy the new branch will be open longer, many are concerned the new base in WHSmith will be too small to cope
He said: "Many of my constituents have got in touch with me to express their thoughts over the move of the Post Office in Wallington.
"I want the Post Office to carefully consider all the local views, before making the final decision."
"The Post Office is an integral part of our community and I will continue to fight to ensure that the needs of local residents are met."
The branch could relocate in February but is in the middle of a six-week consultation.
