A man arrested in Croydon has appeared in court after the death of a 40-year-old in Bournemouth last week.
Lewis Anthony Gill, 20, of no fixed abode, was charged with the manslaughter of Andrew Young late on Saturday, November 10.
Mr Young died after an alleged altercation at Tesco Express in Charminster Road, Charminster, at 3.25pm on Wednesday.
Gill, who was arrested in Croydon, did not enter a plea when he appeared at Bournemouth Magistrates' Court this afternoon.
He spoke only to confirm his name and that he understood proceedings, but wept when he was told he would be remanded into custody.
He will next appear before judges at Winchester Crown Court on November 19 for a preliminary hearing.
