Two raiders who forced open the shutters on a newsagent so they could steal cash and phone cards are being hunted by police.
Police believe two men broke into Hillfield Newsagents in Bishopsford Road between Sutton and Mitcham at 1.15am on Friday, November 1, and fled the scene on bikes.
Detective Constable Natalie Laing from Sutton police said: "This shop is on the main road between Rosehill Roundabout and Mitcham so there are likely to have been some vehicles using the road at this time and people making their way home after an evening out.
"The suspects may have tried to sell the phonecards cheaply afterwards in the area. The cards were all believed to have a face value of either £5 or £10 but the suspects may have been looking to sell them cheaper than this to get a quick sale."
If you saw the incident or have any other information you can call police on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
