A West Molesey teenager has won the holiday company Park Resort’s talent competition.
Rebecca Lacey, 16, who attends Heathside School, came out on top at the Park Resorts Has Stars competition after winning her weekly heat while on holiday in Clacton in August.
Rebecca was invited back to the holiday park in October to compete against all the weekly winners and won, giving her a place in the national final.
After singing Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from Phantom of the Opera, Rebecca beat 38 contestants and walked away the winner in the 12 to 17-year-old category.
Rebecca was rewarded for her efforts with a cheque for £500, a free holiday and a trophy, which was present by James “Arg” Argent from The Only Way Is Essex.
