Shoppers in Epsom have donated more than £3,000 in just three days to help victims of the typhoon in the Philippines.
The rotary clubs of Epsom and Ewell and the Epsom Rotaract Club collected the donations at the Ashley Centre, in Epsom, between Tuesday and Thursday last week.
The money will be used to purchase tents, blankets, tools, water purification tablets, tools and other disaster relief items.
The donations are being made through Rotary partner charity ShelterBox and Rotarian humanitarian aid project Water-Survival Box.
A statement said: "The Rotary Clubs are naturally delighted with the generosity of the public and will be collecting again in the Epsom, Ewell and Banstead areas during the next two weeks."
