If you are a fan of Dr Who then get along to Upper Norwood Library this weekend.

The library is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dr Who and there will be a host of activities on offer.

There will be Dalek races, a treasure hunt, raffle, quiz, fancy dress parade, an art competition and exhibition.

Robert Gibson co-chair of the Upper Norwood Library Trust, which is set to take over the governance of the library, which is funded by Lambeth and Croydon councils said: “We know anyone with a heart supports our library but it now seems those with two do as well.

“This will be a fantastic community event for young and old alike, so come out from behind the sofa and join in.

Crystal Palace will be marking not the extermination of its library but like the Doctor a regeneration, thanks to terrific support of the community, local councillors and the tremendous efforts of the remaining staff.”

Celebration of Dr Who, Upper Norwood Library, Crystal Palace, November 23, 10.30am, free entry, go to uppernorwoodlibrary.org for more details.
