A 26-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a mother mowed down in front of her husband.
Kremena Mersinkova died when she was struck by a car in Godstone Road, Purley, in the early hours of Saturday, February 16.
She had been walking home from work with husband Plamen Mersinkov, 45, who was also injured when the Citroen Saxo careered off-road and ploughed through a garden fence jat ust after 4am.
The couple had been working a night shift together as cleaners at University College Hospital and were just minutes away from the home in Whyteleafe they shared with their 16-year-old daughter Rosemary.
Thomas Joseph Lee of Money Road, Caterham, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He will appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, November 27.
