Police are hunting three teenagers who fled after staging an armed robbery in Mitcham.

The robbery happened at about 6.15pm on Tuesday, November 19, when three men stormed the shop, believed to be the Mitcham Photo Centre, in London Road.

One of the men was carrying a black bag with a pole like object inside which he pointed at a member of staff while a second man walked around the counter toward the rear office.

A third man then leaned over the front of the counter and took a plastic box containing cash before all three fled the store.

The first man was described as black, aged between 16 and 17-years-old, 6 feet and wearing a black jacket, black jeans, a black balaclava and black gloves.

He was also carrying a black drawstring bag with white ‘JD’ logo.

A second man was described as black, aged about 16-years-old, 5 ft 4in and was wearing a black jacket, black jeans and black gloves.

The third man was white, about 18-years-old and 6 foot tall.

He was wearing a blue nylon jacket, black jeans, black gloves and a black balaclava.
