Former Olympian and 800m record breaker Ann Packer visited her old school in New Malden to give an inspirational talk to students about her sporting journey on Wednesday afternoon.
The athlete, now known by her married name of Ann Brightwell, popped into Coombe Girls’ School in Clarence Avenue where she was once a PE teacher, after more than 45 years.
She showed off her gold medals to students in the same way she had done when she returned from the games in Tokyo in 1964.
