Supporters of Princess Alice Hospice donned their best movie star outfits and walked the red carpet at Mercedes-Benz World.

More than 800 guests, dressed up to the nines, attended the hospice’s annual fundraising ball on Saturday, November 23.

Entertainment spanned the evening and included a diamond draw to win a jewellery set worth £2,500, a lucky envelop raffle and a silent auction.

On the main stage, another auction took place with prizes ranging from FA Cup final tickets to a box at a One Direction concert.

Guests were also treated to a three course meal and West End star CJ Johnson and three tenors sang classic tunes for the audience to croon along to.

Julie Thomas, party event manager, said: “It is always a fantastic event and this year it exceeded our expectations.

“The guests had a great night and we were able to raise an incredible amount of money for the hospice.

“We rely on community support as 76 per cent of our funding comes from donations, so the money raised at the party will make a real difference to hospice care.

“I would like to say thank you to everyone who came, to everyone who donated auction prizes, and to all the volunteers and staff that helped on the night.”

Last year the ball helped to raise £38,000 for the Esher hospice.
