A 47-year-old man has been found guilty of stealing £19.60 worth of petrol from Esso in Hampton Court as part of a run of thefts from service stations.
Alexander Puczyniec denied stealing the 15 litres of fuel from the service station in Hampton Court Road on January 17.
But a trial at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday found him guilty. Puczyniec, of Cairn Avenue, Ealing, was fined £150 and told to pay £19.60 compensation for the fuel, as well as £150 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
He was also found guilty of stealing a total of £85.67 worth of petrol from four other petrol stations in Northampton, Bagshot, Oxford and Hammersmith which he was told to pay back.
