Detectives have appealed for help as they continue a three-and-a-half-year search for an attacker who disappeared following his release from prison.

Gentian Morina, 29, from Croydon, breached the conditions of his licence after the end of his sentence for causing actual bodily harm.

An arrest warrnt for Morina - who police believe could be using the name Edmond Kurtaj - was issued in March 2010, but despite repeated appeals police have still not traced him.

His last known address was in Old Palace Road, central Croydon, but detectives believe he could now be living in Thames Valley and have links to Oxford and Reading.

Detective Sergeant Steve George, of Croydon police's wanted offender’s unit, said: "We have been looking for Morina for some time now and we’ve had recent information suggesting that he is in the Thames Valley area.

"We would ask anyone who might know or recognise him to get in touch with us."

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Gentian Morina can contact police in Croydon on 020 8649 1212 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
