A Weybridge resident was threatened by an intruder before having his car stolen from the driveway.

Police are appealing for information following the theft from a home in Oatlands Avenue between 11.30am and noon on Wednesday, November 27.

The occupant disturbed the intruder and was threatened by him before he stole a set of keys, including the car key, before driving off in the metallic grey Audi A7 which had been parked on the driveway.

After being stolen, police believe the car, which has the number plate AW11 PAW, was seen driving northbound on the A3.

Police want to speak to a white man who was about 5ft 9in, thin with straight, short brown hair.

He was believed to be wearing white trainers and grey jogging bottoms.

Detective Constable Kieran Gamble, investigating, said: “I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious around the time of the offence to contact officers with information as it may prove vital to the investigation.

“We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the car being driven away from the scene and may be able to provide information about the vehicle’s movements and its driver.

“I would ask anyone who thinks they may have seen the stolen vehicle on the morning of the offence or who has since seen it parked up somewhere to share this information with us.”

Anyone with information should call Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference 45130002055 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
