A cyclist was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Norbury this morning.

The 35-year-old man suffered back injuries in the collision in London Road at around 8am.

London Ambulance Service sent a first responder in a car and an ambulance, which took the cyclist to St George's Hospital in Tooting.

His injuries are not thought to be serious.

Police closed the road at the scene of the collision. 

The 50, 109 and 255 bus services are taking diverted routes while the closure remains in place.
