With the countdown to Christmas now officially underway there are some who are happier than others to see the back of November.

Reporters Andy Bloss and Mike Pyle both ditched their razors and decided to take part in the Movember campaign, which raises awareness about men’s health.

But each went for slightly different methods in their moustache growing approach.

Mr Pyle, the Sutton Guardian's chief reporter, went for the ‘pencil’ moustache look with a thin line of hair covering his top lip but Mr Bloss went all out with what can only be described as a 1940s war 'tache.

Croydon Guardian reporter Andy Bloss said: “The last few days were pretty horrible to be honest as bits of dirt and food were starting to get stuck in it.

“I thought it was a good effort though and it is good to help the Movember cause.”
