Thirty dogs were microchipped for free as part of a police dog roadshow.
Dogs visiting Oaks Park, off Croydon Lane, got to take part in a roadshow, on Saturday, November 30, during which dogs received health checks and neutering vouchers.
Oaks Park: Little Charlie was out for his first walk, but was not microchipped at the event
Sutton High Street on Thursday, December 5, was host to another roadshow outside Waterstones.
The events are all part of Sutton’s LEAD initiative (Local Environmental Awareness on Dogs) encouraging responsible ownership of dogs.
Sutton Council, Sutton Housing Partnership, local landlords, the RSPCA and the Riverside Animal Centre have all been involved in the scheme.
A total of 130 dogs have been microchipped in the borough since the initiative launched in 2011.
