One of the local MPs showed some festive good wool by swapping his shirt and tie for a Christmas jumper last week.
Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake took part in charity Save the Children's Christmas jumper day on Friday by donning this fetching penguin-themed number.
Mr Brake said: "I must say that, if there is one reason to bring the cringe-worthy Christmas jumpers back from the style exile, saving the lives of the world’s poorest children must be it.
"I would encourage everyone to get involved next year and rock their festive woolly. I personally think that the more ridiculous it is, the merrier - and it's still better than a onesie!"
Save the Children's Christmas jumper day took place on Friday with people in offices, schools and other places donating money for the privilege of wearing their favourite festive jumper for the day.
