Problems with drains, such as flooding from a public sewer or a change in water levels in your toilet can be reported to Thames Water on 0845 9200 800.

The Environment Agency can offer advice on the weather conditions if you call 0845 988 1188, Sutton and East Surrey Water is available on 01737 772000, if you experience a power cut, you can call UK Power Networks on 0800 028 0247.

To find out the latest on public transport you can call the Transport for London information line on 020 7222 1234. Anyone with a medical problem that is not an emergency can call NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or NHS Sutton & Merton Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0800 075 3182.

Among fallen trees already reported to have caused problems in the borough is one outside the Nuffield gym in Cheam. It has sent a message to members saying it has had to close temporarily because of the fallen tree across the entrance to its car park.
