Southern railway has been shortlisted as finalists in four categories in the inaugural UK rail industry awards.
The awards recognise the work of organisations, teams and individuals working to deliver an efficient rail network and included 239 entries across 18 categories.
Southern, which operates Sutton Station and trains across south-west London, has been shortlisted in the following categories: apprenticeship development scheme, for its apprenticeship programme; corporate social responsibility, for staff engagement with local communities; passenger safety, for endeavouring to make trains safer; social media, for the London to Brighton film made in partnership with the BBC.
The winners will be announced on Thursday, February 20.
