It is very encouraging to hear that Croydon will receive over £8m from the Government’s New Homes Bonus scheme.
The Council has worked hard to boost the local economy and tackle the housing crisis by consenting many excellent planning applications which will go a long way towards reinvigorating Croydon.
The New Homes Bonus is an excellent reward for councils, such as our own, who are willing to be proactive and realise that we really do need to ‘build ourselves out of recession’.
The new homes are badly needed in this area particularly to help young people get onto the housing ladder.
Hopefully, this £8m will be used to further improve our town and make it a place that people are really proud to live.
