Cheam netball ace Eboni Beckford-Chambers says her England colleagues will be going out to defeat the might of New Zealand this evening at Copper Box Arena.

The English Roses prepared for their big clash with the defending Commonwealth Games champions by powering past Jamaica 46-38 in their international tri-series opener at Wembley Arena on Saturday.

Jo Harten netted 22 points for the hosts while Jamaica’s Jhaniele Fowler top-scored with 26.

“I think the girls will be pleased with the performance,” said goal defence specialist Beckford-Chambers, 26.

“We’ve got New Zealand on Monday so it was really good to try different combinations.

“We’re going out to win against New Zealand, it’s going to be a real test for us but we’re really really confident.

“We’re going out there to give them a real good run for their money.”
