People in Sutton value pints over parks according to new research.

People looking for a home in Sutton place more importance on whether it is near a good pub than whether it is near to a park, according to research from kitchen specialists Hygena.

Apparently more than half of people looking at houses in the borough say they would be willing to compromise the layout and space in their house if it is near a trendy boozer.

The research also shows only just over a third of people trust estate agents while many people prefer to rely on social media and their friends' knowledge when trying to research an area.

There is not one decent boozer in Sutton town centre. They are mostly dingy chav hangouts or places that lack any real atmosphere and come 6.30pm have no one in them.

Nice pub near me where you can occasionally enjoy a good punch up with your pint if you're that way inclined.which I am not.

All Bar One is still pretty trendy and cool twenty years on. It's not a boozer though - more a gastro pub and wine bar. Roughnecks despise the place - which is just fine by me. Also, there's absolutely nothing here for the clubber or football fan - another huge advantage!

Quite agree Tony, about the best of the local bunch.

Sutton was the site for the first All Bar One, so good that it has lasted.
