MARKET stallholders and customers collected more than £500 for Pendleside Hospice through a Christmas hamper raffle, staged near Santa’s grotto.
Organiser, trader Andrew Dean said: “The grotto was a huge success.
“It was really busy and we were all really happy with how it turned out.
“We decided to raise money for the hospice at the same time as it’s such a worthwhile local charity. We would like to thank all involved, especially our staff and the Friends of Pendleside Hospice volunteers who manned the raffle stall.”
