Film makers have enlisted primary school children to help them make a documentary.

Sutton Film Makers took the first footage for their film they are making about police working with young people.

Two cameras were running while police talked to 24 children at Abbey Primary School’s breakfast club, in Sutton, on Friday, January 24.

PC Shola Thomas and PCSOs Sam English and Robin Bailey explained to children that officers were there to keep them safe and they, along with the fire and ambulance service, could be contacted in an emergency on 999.

The films, which are being filmed and edited during 2014, will be used in the borough for promotional and educational purposes.

Breakfast club co-ordinator Beckie Davison said: “It's been great having the police here to talk to the children about staying safe and to have the whole thing filmed. The children were really excited and loved being in the spotlight.”
