Councillors have agreed to spend £43,000 on refurbishments at Bourne Hall and Epsom’s Longmead Centre.
At a meeting of Epsom Council’s strategy and resources committees held last night, January 30, councillors agreed to release £40,000 from its repairs and renewals fund to pay for improvements to the kitchens at Bourne Hall in Spring Street, Ewell, which is used as a venue for weddings and other events.
They also agreed to spend £3,300 to make improvements to the Longmead Centre, in Sefton Road, Epsom.
The money will be used to convert the un-used reception desk alcove into a small, comfortable seating area.
The centre offers social and recreational events and a range of classes which are designed to promote health and wellbeing.
