Flood warnings are still in place for Thames Ditton and Cobham, with some residents told to expect property flooding.

River levels at Thames Ditton Island were expected to exceed six metres at high tide earlier this morning, with the next tide likely to be even higher.

The Environment Agency has said the Thames barrier will be closed during the next tide, with flooding of some properties on the island expected.

In Cobham, river levels in the Mole have peaked and are slowly falling, although they are expected to remain high throughout today.

No further property flooding is anticipated although the Environment Agency says it is monitoring the situation closely.

A flood alert is still in place between Leatherhead and South Hersham, where river levels have also peaked and no additional flooding is expected.

Today's weather is predicted to be mainly dry with the possibility of scattered showers later.
