Wandsworth ladies youth cricket team will play at Lord's next month after reaching the Balfour Beatty London Youth games Indoor Cricket finals.
The ladies hit a huge 309 runs across the two 10-over qualifying rounds on Saturday to overcome Havering and Enfield, and clinch their final spot.
It means that both male and female youth teams at Wandsworth have made it to the finals, to be played on Sunday March 2.
Ladies youth manager Kiyo Jason said: “I’m very proud of them, we’ve done a lot of preparation in the weeks before, and they executed all those plans excellently.
“They have great all round ability – they can all bat, bowl and field, but the key was team spirit.”
And Jason hopes they can build on their quarter-final loss at the finals last year.
She said: “I think they’ll have learnt from last year – let’s hope they can go that bit further.”
