Why not try something both terrifying and exhilarating this year?
Wheelchair rugby took the London 2012 Paralympics by storm with its fast-paced tactics and brutality which gave it the nickname of ‘murderball’.
Now the London Wheelchair Rugby Club has teamed up with Weir Archer Academy to bring the sport, which is a fusion office hockey, handball and rugby, to Carshalton.
Four free taster sessions are being held to welcome potential players with a physical impairment to come along, get active and try the sport out. Wheelchairs and coaching will be provided.
Wheelchair rugby taster sessions; Stanley Park High Sports Hall, Carshalton; 6pm and 8pm; Fri February 21, Fri March 7, Fri March 28, Fri April 4; register with Paul Arnold on 07872 664927; email paul.arnold@gbwr.org.uk; visit gbwr.org.uk
