A tree has fallen on the railway line at Banstead, causing disruption to train services.

Southern Railway has advised passengers to expect delays and cancellations after the incident, which has affected services between Sutton and Epsom Downs.

It comes after a week of heavy rainfall across south-west London and Surrey, accompanied by gale force winds last night of up to 70mph.
