An environmentally-friendly housing estate in Hackbridge has been hit by flooding.
These pictures were captured by a Sutton Guardian reader this morning at the Beddington Zero Energy Development (known as BedZed) in Sandmartin Way, Wallington.
The award-winning housing estate is designed to use only energy from renewable sources generated on site.
It comes after week of heavy rain in south-west London and Surrey which has caused flooding in Carshalton, with warnings of more rain in the coming days by the Met Office.
Strong winds of up to 70mph also battered the area last night, including on Southern train services from Sutton after a tree fell on the railway line at Banstead.
