Moped riding robbers' Sutton crime spree continues with two attacks over the weekend
A pair of moped-riding robbers on a crime spree struck again over the weekend.
The duo, who are thought to be responsible for a month-long spate of more than 10 robberies, struck twice within minutes of each other in Sutton on Sunday.
Where the robberies have taken place
Police are investigating a series of reports of a pair of youths approaching their victims on a moped before robbing them and speeding off using backroads as their escape route.
The most recent attacks, the 11th and 12th reported to police, took place shortly after 3pm on Sunday.
The first was in Papermill Close in Carshalton at 3.06pm and the second was in nearby Muschamp Road six minutes later.
Both their victims were males in their teens and were walking alone. One had a bicycle stolen, the other had a mobile phone stolen.
Previous robberies have taken place in a similar manner, with the robbers approaching lone youths or pairs of youths and demanding items like mobile phones, bikes, wallets and jewellery.

The duo travel on a black moped. The rider is black, about 5ft 10ins to 6ft, stocky and wears a black helmet.
The passenger is about 5ft 6ins to 5ft 9ins and has a slimmer build and paler skin than the rider. He wears a silver or white helmet.
Police believe the pair are from Carshalton or Wallington due to their knowledge of the area's backroads and the spots where the attacks have taken place.
