Four pumps have been brought in to tackle flooding in Ewell Village which still shows no sign of receding.
Flooding has remained outside Bourne Hall Park by the war memorial and bus stop at the end of the high street for more than a month.
Epsom and Ewell Borough Council (EEBC) has now brought in pumps in a bid to resolve the problem.
A spokesman said two pumps had been working at the weekend and this was upped to four on Tuesday.
He said: "As the level of water continues to increase we are now using four water pumps to try to pump the water into the horse pond.
"Each pump has a maximum output flow of 700 litres a minute, four pumps will move in the region of 2,800 litres a minute 168,000 litres an hour.
"This is an EEBC initiative. We will be measuring the effect of this action with drainage officers from Surrey County Council."
Yesterday Graeme Hitching, a former technician for a multinational engineering company, said the flooding in the heart of Ewell Village was as bad as ever.

He blamed the flooding on the failure to clean out blocked drains in the carriageway and called for water courses to be widened.
Surrey County Council said this week that it is very aware of the part that highway drainage may play and it is working with EEBC to check if there are blockages within the Bourne Hall site.
